Construction Career Day [Print] 

Since 2001, NADAP's Pre-Apprenticeship Program has conducted an annual Construction Career Day for high school students in Westchester County. This event is an opportunity for youth to explore careers in various building and construction trades through hands-on exhibits presented by over 18 trade unions. More than 500 high school students participate each year.

This event is sponsored by the following organizations:

  • Westchester-Putnam Counties Consortium for Worker Education and Training, Inc.
  • Construction Industry Council of Westchester and Hudson Valley, Inc.
  • Hudson Valley Building and Trades Council

High School Pre-Apprenticeship Program

NADAP also operates a High School Pre-Apprenticeship Program which provides youth with an opportunity to become familiar with the construction industry and skilled building trades. This program is for 1-2 hours per week for approximately 8-10 weeks. During this pre-apprenticeship program, students will be engaged in classroom and hands-on activities in various building and construction trades.
