Grand Opening of NADAP Long Island Suffolk County Office

We were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of NADAP’s Long Island Suffolk County office. This was a significant milestone in our commitment to expanding access to health care and employment services within the Long Island community.

The event featured remarks from NADAP staff and community leaders, including Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri and Brookhaven Town Supervisor and Suffolk County Executive-Elect Ed Romaine, and was attended by New York State (NYS) Senator Dean Murray, NYS Assemblyman Joe DeStefano, NYS Department of Labor Commissioner’s Regional Representative Elizabeth Dovell, Suffolk County Legislators Jason Richberg, James Mazzarella, and Dominick Thorne, Suffolk County Department of Social Services (DSS) Commissioner Frances Pierre, Suffolk County DSS Chief Deputy Commissioner Sandra Davidson, Suffolk County Health Commissioner Gregson Pigott, and numerous community members, business leaders, and service providers.

 

 

NADAP Free Hearing Screening

NYCHA Gowanus Houses, Brooklyn, New York

NADAP provided free hearing screening exams at New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Gowanus Houses in partnership with Songs for Sound, Cochlear Americas, and NYU Langone Health Audiology. Together, we helped the community enroll in our care management services and get referrals that may make them eligible for donated hearing aids.

 

 

NADAP Anniversary Reception

NADAP held an Anniversary Reception at Salesforce Tower in support of new and expectant mothers dealing with substance use. The evening featured a captivating performance from singer/songwriter Ava Anderson and honored the impact and stories of NADAP Board President Lawrence Singer and former client Erin O.

 

NADAP’s Annual Brooklyn Cyclones Baseball Staff Outing

NADAP staff and their families had a great time at the Brooklyn Cyclones game, where we were honored as their featured nonprofit partner. We enjoyed the time spent together, cheered on Antanise Congress from the Health Care Management team as she delivered the first pitch, and capped off the evening with a dazzling fireworks show.

NADAP resumed our partnership with the Brooklyn Cyclones, the New York Mets’ minor league affiliate team, as part of our ongoing commitment to create a supportive environment and foster connections among our employees. NADAP President & CEO John Darin hosted a prize wheel fundraiser, and staff and their families had a fantastic time watching the game.

 

 

NADAP Health Insurance Enrollment at the 116th Festival

NADAP marked its 50th anniversary with a gala that celebrated our commitment to empowering individuals through healthcare and employment. Notable honorees included baseball legend Darryl Strawberry, TD Bank, and nonprofit leader Sandra Leal. Q104.3’s Ken Dashow emceed the event, with a live performance by singer/songwriter Ava Anderson.

Maria joined NADAP in 2018 and quickly rose to the role of Sr. Outreach Specialist due to her caring nature. Now, as an Intensive Care Manager, she supports high-risk clients with their medical, mental health, and social needs.

“I really like working with my patients,” Maria says. “I enjoy being there for them and helping make sure they're okay. Some of the most rewarding parts of my job are hearing them tell me, ‘I finally was able to do this on my own.’”
